New Venue for the Jam
September 5, 2008
After a few months break I have found a new venue to hold a jam session – this time in Wokingham. It’s a nice, big family-type pub so I think it will be a very good place to host it. The other advantage is that it has a large car park so no worries there.
We will be holding the jams on Sundays once a month and the first will be on 12th October. The house band will play from 8pm and the jam from around 9pm.
I hope everyone can come and support this new venue and keep the jam going.

I know this is the Two Poplars, but What is the ‘Jazz around reading’ listing?

Hi Bob: ‘Jazz ‘Round About Reading’ is a free monthly jazz listings service from Jazz in Reading. We feature mostly modern jazz gigs happening each month within 20 miles or so of Reading. Each month’s email will usually be circulated 3–5 days before the month begins. Musicians, promoters and venues should send listings information – to jazz@wordhouseonline.com – by the 20th of the preceding month.
For further information about Jazz in Reading, or to get on our mailing list, contact Steve Wellings on 0118 961 3233/07958 490936 or Nigel Dacombe on 07730 075281 or email us at jazz@wordhouseonline.com.
