Jazz Jam 50th Birthday Invite

Hi Jammers, I’d like to invite you all to join in for a jazz and possibly some other music – jam session for my 50th Birthday at West End Social Club on friday 31st July.

I will need names for the guest list so that they will let you in.

The club is just down the road that goes past Lightwater from the M3, at the end of the dual carriageway go straight over the roundabout and left at first lights and you are at the back of the building.

Great turn out at the anniversary jam session on Sunday – so many bass players!  Where are they when you need them?

Next Session NOT second Sunday due to Easter so it will be 19th April.

The Jazz Jam is a year old!

Yes, the jam started (in it’s original venue – The Wellington Arms) one year ago in March 2008.  Thank you to everyone who has attended over this time, especially those who make it down regularly.

Please come and help us celebrate at the next session in March 2009 on Sunday 8th.

First date for 2009 – NOTE: 4th Sunday

The first jam of 2009 will not be on the usual 2nd Sunday but the 4th i.e. Sunday 25th January.  This is a temporary arrangement.

The last session of 2008 was a great success – well attended by players and listeners, so hopefully 2009 should be a good year for the jazz jam!

Also note, I have moved the start time back to 6:30pm.

Next date

The next date has been organised for December 14th – last one before Christmas.  The second session had a very low turn out – I hope I can start to get more of you down because it’s a great venue and would be a shame to lose it.

First Session at new venue + change to earlier time

We had a modest turn out yesterday but a very nice evening was had by all. Everyone commented on what a good venue it is and the atmosphere was good. I’m looking forward to future jams – please note: next one November 9th.

A few people have commented on the Sunday evening session not being a great time for them, so I have arranged to start it earlier at 6pm. I hope this will encourage more of you down.
